Basecamp is already where your team writes its documentation in Docs & Files. Knowledge Base takes exactly that and turns it into a public help site, without you having to copy anything elsewhere.
You connect a project, choose its Docs & Files, and Can Do builds the site automatically, notifying you by email when it's ready. From then on, everything keeps happening in Basecamp: you write a new document and a new article appears, you move it to a folder and it changes category, you edit it and it updates. There's never a second place where you have to keep the content up to date.
What gets published
Any document from the connected Docs & Files becomes an article—guides, FAQs, manuals, internal documentation, whatever your team wants to communicate quickly or your customers need to find quickly.
How it's organized
Your folders in Basecamp become the site's categories, and the order you give them there is the same order your readers see. The site also includes a search feature, with nothing to configure.
Who can see it
It publishes as a public site at your Can Do address, or on your own domain if your plan includes it. Nobody needs a Basecamp account to read it.
Who can edit it
Content is written and edited in Basecamp, not in Can Do, so who can do it depends on the permissions you already have configured in that project.
