    Re-synchronize your Knowledge Base

Before doing Re-sync, it's important that you keep this in mind:

    • Unlike other important actions in Can Do, this one doesn't ask for confirmation—it does what it promises as soon as you touch it, resynchronizing the information.
    • Re-sync deletes all the categories and articles you had saved and brings them back from scratch, exactly as they are today in Basecamp. While it rebuilds, your Knowledge Base temporarily goes down (returns to a "under construction" state), and publishes itself again when it's done, just like the first time you created it.

    When should you use it?

Only if your Knowledge Base structure became really out of sync with Basecamp—for example, if you moved or reorganized many folders and want Can Do to rebuild it the same way Basecamp has it right now. It's not something to use routinely or "just in case": normal changes (editing, creating, or deleting a document) already sync automatically.

The Re-sync button only appears when your Knowledge Base is published.
