How to Keep Your Knowledge Base Synchronized with Basecamp

Your Knowledge Base comes directly from the Docs & Files documents of the project you chose when creating it, and that connection stays active all the time.

Everything happens on the Basecamp side.

You can't edit the content from Can Do, go to the original document in Basecamp in the project where you decided to create your Knowledge Base, remember that this comes from Docs & Files and make your change there, it updates automatically in your public Knowledge Base. The same applies in reverse:

    • Create a new document → a new article appears.
    • Edit a document → the article updates.
    • Delete a document → the article disappears.
    • Move a document to another folder in Basecamp's Docs & Files → the article automatically moves to the corresponding category in your Knowledge Base.

The order comes from Basecamp too.

If you reorder your folders or documents there, that same order is reflected in your public Knowledge Base.

About timing: Updates aren't always instant, especially when images are involved, give it a moment before thinking something failed. Unlike Blog, there is a way to force a complete rebuild if something gets out of date. Check out the Re-syncing your Knowledge Base article.
