Everything you see in your published Knowledge Base comes directly from the folder and document structure you already have in Basecamp's Docs & Files. You don't need a separate editor or application to have the information available.
What's the structure like?
The folders that are directly inside the Docs & Files you connected become the categories of your Knowledge Base, and the documents inside each one become articles.
You can create folders and subfolders, and when you publish your Knowledge Base, they will appear exactly as you left them.
Keep this in mind:
- You can add images and videos. Add as many images and videos as you want inside each article for your Knowledge Base.
- Only inserted images and videos appear in the published article. If you attach other types of files inside the document (a PDF, a Word file, etc.), that attachment won't appear in the public version only images and videos that you insert directly into your article will show up there.
- Avoid leaving completely empty documents inside a created folder. A document with no content won't be published and can affect how the folder appears—any empty folder can look unfinished until it has actual content
