How to Edit a Knowledge Base

The content of your articles (the text itself) is edited from Basecamp. Your Knowledge Base settings such as name, description, action button, password, and domain are edited from Can Do.

    From Can Do:

    • Go to the CMS tab. There you'll see everything you've published, organized by color: Blog in yellow, Knowledge base in blue, Roadmap in orange.
    • Click on the Knowledge Base you want to edit; clicking it takes you directly to its settings page.
    • There you can edit:
      • Icon & Name
      • Description
    • In Preview URL you can open your Knowledge Base or copy the link with one click.
    • In Call to action, enable Enable CTA button if you want to add a button that invites your users to do something, such as sign up, contact you, or go to your homepage, and enter the address it should lead to.

To add a password or custom domain, check out the articles dedicated to each one Protect your Knowledge Base with a password / Using a Custom Domain in Your Knowledge Base

Using a Custom Domain in Your Knowledge Base

From Basecamp (this is where you edit the content itself):

    • Go to the project where your Docs & Files are located.
    • Open the document you want to change.
    • Edit the title or content.
    • Save your changes.

The change is reflected only in your public Knowledge Base, though not always instantly. If you added or changed images, give it a moment before assuming something went wrong.

Note: check in Can Do that your Knowledge Base says Live next to "Details". If it says Unpublished, click Publish to make it visible again.
