Before clicking the Re-sync button, remember that clicking it does not ask for confirmation—it will re-synchronize your information all at once.
Things to keep in mind:
- Re-sync asks Can Do to discard its copy of the columns and cards, and fetch them from scratch exactly as they currently are in Basecamp.
- Your card table in Basecamp is never touched; this only updates the copy that Can Do has saved. While it's being rebuilt, your roadmap temporarily goes down and is published again only when it finishes.
- When you click Re-sync, you'll see in the Preview URL section how the Building your roadmap 🛠️ bar works to get the URL ready. Give it a few minutes while it finishes.
Note: The columns you chose to show or hide are preserved, but if you had reordered them by dragging, that order is lost and they return to the order they have in Basecamp.
When to use it?
Only if the structure became really out of sync with Basecamp. Normal changes (moving, creating, archiving a card) already sync automatically, without you having to do anything.
The Re-sync button only appears when your roadmap is already published.
