To create one:
- Go to the CMS tab and click Create. From the dropdown menu, select Roadmap.
- It will direct you to the creation screen with three steps:
- Find your project: Search for the Basecamp project where your card table is located and where your Roadmap will be published.
- Select a card table: Choose the card table from that project. Its cards will be your public roadmap.
- Choose columns: Select which columns you want to publish and drag them to define the order they will appear in. There is a Select all / Deselect all button if you want to mark them all at once or if you want to select them one by one.
- Click Create roadmap.
If there is no Card Table in the project:
If the project doesn't have a Card Table yet, Can Do will give you the option to create one right there. When you are on step 2 Select the Docs & Files tool, type a name for your Docs & Files and click Create. This will be created directly in your Basecamp project without you having to leave Can Do.
What happens next is automatic: if your card table doesn't have cards yet, the roadmap is published immediately. If it already has cards, in Can Do you will see a progress bar and it publishes automatically as soon as it finishes, with an email notifying you.
