Opening a Companion file is just like opening any file on your Mac: double-click. The difference is that the first time it downloads on demand.
Open a file
- Go to the project folder in Finder.
- Double-click the file.
- Companion downloads it (you'll see a brief progress bar for large files) and opens it with the corresponding app.
View on Basecamp or copy the link
Right-click a file and choose View on Basecamp to open it on its Basecamp page, or Copy Link to copy its link and share it.
Note: if you're offline, you can only open files you've already downloaded before. Others will show the cloud icon until you have internet again.
