You don't have to see all your projects in Finder, only the ones you use. During onboarding, Companion shows you your Basecamp project list so you can choose which ones to mount. The fewer projects you activate, the cleaner your Finder and the faster everything runs.
During installation
- Companion shows you your projects with a checkbox next to each one.
- Check the ones you want to see in Finder.
- Continue. Each checked project appears as a folder in the Finder sidebar.
Change them whenever you want
You can add or remove projects at any time from Settings → Docs & Files. When you uncheck a project, its folder disappears from Finder in seconds; when you check it again, it reappears.
Note: unchecking a project never deletes or archives anything in Basecamp. It only controls what you see in your Finder.
