How to archive completed To-dos (Archive > To-dos)

Keeping your project clean and organized is key to staying productive in Basecamp.

The Completed To-dos tool lets you archive tasks that are already done without deleting them, so you don't lose the history of what your team has worked on.

How to do it from Can Do:

    • Go to the Tools tab, then select Completed To-dos within Archive.
    • Find your project: Choose the project where the to-do list you want to archive is located.
    • Select a to-do set: Choose which to-do set contains the lists you want to archive.
    • Select to-do lists: Only completed to-dos are archived. Lists with 0 completed items appear disabled, because there's nothing to archive there.
      • You can select them all with Select all, or check the box for each list individually.
    • Click Archive.

Note: If the selected project doesn't have a To-dos, Can Do will notify you. In that case, you'll have the option to click Open in Basecamp, which will open your project directly so you can add the To-dos.

    Keep this in mind:

    • Archiving is not deleting. Your to-dos are safely saved in Basecamp's archive.
    • Archiving only works from Can Do; if you want to unarchive any to-dos, you must do this directly in Basecamp.
