How to Archive Cards (Archive > Cards)

If you have many cards in a Card Table that are no longer useful, this Can Do tool is perfect for quickly archiving your cards without needing to delete them.

The Cards tool lets you archive all cards from a specific column of a Basecamp Card Table at once, instead of archiving them one by one.

How to do it from Can Do:

    • Go to the Tools tab, then select Cards within Archive.
    • Find your project: Choose the project with the Card Table you want to work with.
    • Select a card table: Choose the Card Table.
    • Select a column: All columns appear; those without cards are shown as disabled, because there's nothing to archive there.
    • Select cards: Choose the cards to archive, with Select all or one by one. Sort them by Newest first, Oldest first, or Alphabetically (A-Z) if needed.
    • Click Archive.

Note: If the selected project doesn't have a Card Table, Can Do will notify you. In that case, you'll have the option to click Open in Basecamp, which will open your project directly so you can add the Card Table.

    Keep this in mind:

    • Archiving is not deleting. Your cards remain safely stored in the Basecamp archive.
    • Only the cards from the column you selected will be archived; the rest of your Card Table stays exactly the same.
