If there are things you open all the time (a project, a file, a person, an app, a command), you can pin them so they always appear at the top of the Launcher, even before you type.
Pin something
- Search for the result in the Launcher and leave it selected.
- Press ⌘K to open its actions.
- Choose Pin.
From then on it appears in the Your favorites section, at the very top.
Unpin or reorder
With the same ⌘K menu you can remove the pin (Unpin). Pinned items appear in the order you pinned them, so the list stays stable even if your search results change.
Notes:
- Alongside your favorites, the Launcher also learns from what you use and shows the most frequent items in "Recently used".
- A pin only re-surfaces a result that could otherwise appear on its own. If you turn off a source in Settings → Launcher → Search Results (installed applications, window snapping, etc.), anything you'd pinned from that source stops showing too — turn the source back on to bring it back.
