How to Create To-dos Faster with Mass To-dos

Mass To-dos lets you create multiple tasks in a Basecamp to-do list at once, without adding them one by one.

How to do it from Can Do:

    • Go to the Tools tab, then select Mass To-dos within Create.
    • Paste or type your to-do list, one per line. At the top you'll see a Tip with a format example, and a See examples link with more details. If you paste from a spreadsheet, notes and due dates will be filled in automatically.
    • Your to-dos appear below as you type or paste. Add notes and dates to any of them, or delete one with the trash icon.
    • Find destination project: Choose the project where the to-do list is located.
    • Pick a to-do set: Select the To-dos where you want to add them.
    • Pick a to-do list: Click on the To-do list where the to-dos will go.
    • Click Create.

    Notes:

    • Above the field you'll see a tip with a format example to use, click on See examples to view it in detail. A small box will appear on your screen.
    • If the selected project doesn't have a To-dos, Can Do will notify you. In that case, you'll have the option to click Open in Basecamp, which will open your project directly so you can add the To-dos.

    Keep this in mind:

    • One line equals one to-do, make sure each title is on its own line before pasting.
    • There's no limit to how many to-dos you can create in a single action.
    • They're created in the background, so when you add many, it may take a moment for all of them to appear in Basecamp.
    • You can write your list in any text editor, such as Notes, Word, Notion, or copy it directly from an email.
