Using Mass Cards from Can Do will make your work in Basecamp faster by adding cards in bulk.
Mass Cards lets you create multiple cards in a Basecamp Card Table at once, without adding them one by one.
How to do it from Can Do:
- Go to the Tools tab, then select Mass Cards within Create.
- Paste or type your list of card titles one per line. At the top you'll see a See examples that shows exactly what format to paste (title, description, and due date, each in its own column).
- Your cards appear below as you type or paste. Add notes and dates to any of them, or delete one with the trash icon.
- Find destination project: Choose where the Card Table is.
- Pick a card table: Select the Card Table where you'll add the cards.
- Pick a column: for example, Triage, In progress, or whichever one you use and where your cards will first go.
- Click Create.
Notes:
- Above the field you'll see a tip with an example of the format you should use. Click See examples to see it in detail. A small box will appear on your screen.
- If the selected project doesn't have a Card Table, Can Do will notify you. In that case, you'll have the option to click Open in Basecamp, which will open your project directly so you can add the Card Table.
Keep this in mind:
- One line is one card, make sure each title is on its own line before pasting.
- There's no limit to how many cards you can create in a single action.
- Cards are created in the background, so if there are many it may take a moment for them all to appear in Basecamp. You don't need to wait on the page for that.
- You can type your list in any text editor, like Notes, Word, Notion, or copy it directly from an email.
