Broadcast lets you share a message from a Basecamp project to multiple projects at once, in a single action. Perfect for announcements or updates that need to reach several teams at the same time.
How to do it from Can Do:
- Go to the Tools tab, then select Broadcast within Create.
- Find your project: Choose the project with the message you want to share.
- Select a message board: Choose the Message Board where the message is currently located.
- Select the message: Select the one you want to copy to other projects.
- Broadcast to: Choose the destination projects (with a Message Board) that should receive a copy. Use Select all or choose them individually. Decide whether to enable Allow client access, so that clients in those destination projects can also see the message.
- Click Broadcast to.
Note: If the selected project doesn't have a Message Board, Can Do will notify you. In that case, you'll have the option to click Open in Basecamp, which will open your project directly so you can add the Message Board.
Keep this in mind:
- The message is published exactly as it was written, formatting, attachments and all. Using this Can Do tool doesn't change anything about the original message.
- Each destination project receives it as a new, independent message in its own Message Board, it's not linked to the original. If you edit the original message afterward, the copies already sent don't update automatically.
