The Launcher searches within Basecamp: your projects and the project files you've synced. It's the fastest way to access something without opening Finder or your browser.
How to search
- Open the Launcher and start typing the name of a project or file.
- Select it with the arrow keys and press Return to open it.
- With ⌘K you can also open it in Basecamp or copy its link.
Note: The files that appear are from the projects you activated in Settings → Docs & Files. If you're looking for something from a project you don't have synced, activate it first.
When the Launcher doesn't show what you're looking for
The previous search only covers what Companion already has locally, fast but partial. If you know something exists in Basecamp but can't find it, select the Search in Basecamp row, press Return, and continue typing. These results come directly from the Basecamp server, covering your entire account.
Note: If a project or file you expected isn't in the main list, it's not lost, it just hasn't been synced locally yet. Searching in Basecamp will still find it.
