Can Do Help Center

    System commands

The Launcher can execute system actions on your Mac, Raycast-style: things you'd normally do with a shortcut or by going into Settings, but from the same search bar.

    Some commands

    • Lock screen, sleep, turn off screen, start screensaver.
    • Restart, shut down, or log out.
    • Empty or open Trash.
    • Mute / increase / decrease volume, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
    • Show or hide hidden files; restart Finder / Dock / menu bar.
    • Copy your local or public IP, flush DNS, keep Mac awake.

    How to use them

Open them by typing their name in the Launcher and press Return. Important actions (restart, shut down, log out) ask for confirmation before executing.

Note: you can enable or disable this entire family of commands in Settings → Launcher. Some require a macOS permission the first time; check "macOS Permissions".
