Zoom Chatbot lets you create a Zoom meeting instantly from a Basecamp ping or group chat, without leaving the conversation to create one from scratch in Zoom.
Where can it be used?
In any Basecamp ping or group chat where the bot is configured.
How to do it from Basecamp:
- Start by typing the chatbot command in the chat, which is !zoom
- Add a short name after the command so the meeting has a clear title, for example,
!zoom Client Review. - Press Enter. The bot responds immediately in the chat with a ready-to-use Zoom meeting link, this happens instantly, in a matter of seconds.
- Click the link to join the meeting in Zoom.
Keep this in mind:
- It works in both one-on-one pings and group chats.
- Meetings are created with fixed duration and settings (camera on, microphone muted on entry) and cannot be configured from the chat command.
